January 2025 marks an incredible milestone for Avenue: 10 years of serving as a full-service real estate development, construction and investment group focused on innovative solutions for wellness centered healthcare and senior living properties. From our launch and roots in Indiana to the opening of our first Viva Bene property, we have much to reflect on. To celebrate these milestones, we sat down with Laurie Schultz, Principal & Co-Founder, Mike Mattingly, Principal & Co-Founder, and Matt Kwapis, Senior Vice President, Development, to reflect on the last decade of Avenue Development.

Bridging the gap between conventional multifamily apartments and traditional senior living is our future. Not only are boomers looking for retirement, but an active community and lifestyle that they can afford. Our first community in St. Louis called Viva Bene is opening this year and is creating a vibrant, attainable community with a multi-generational approach. This is an age-restricted rental community for folks who are 55+. We believe our residents should look at various factors of where they want to live with purpose for many years to come.
