In partnership with Sabra Health Care REIT and the operations team at Signature HealthCARE, Avenue worked as the developer to bring this project to life. This new community, which will ultimately replace an aged asset currently operating in this market, was studied for feasibility and viability in many different ways prior to Avenue’s involvement. The residents, staff, and families associated with Signature HealthCARE of Elizabethtown currently will be able to see it in action in a brand-new, state-of-the-art space towards the end of 2022.
Currently under construction, Signature HealthCARE of Elizabethtown will continue to bring skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to this market but do so in a new facility featuring expanded physical therapy and occupational therapy spaces, on-site dialysis, and neighborhood-style dining. In this way, the new facility will help to elevate the already high level of care provided so residents are supported in their health care goals. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, together with the design and operations teams, we worked to incorporate mitigation strategies for infectious diseases into the building itself. An increased number of private rooms, complemented by semi-privates featuring true separation between residents was just the start. Two main resident wings are broken down further into four smaller neighborhoods. Dining is brought directly to each wing, with ample room to spread residents out for cohort-only dining and activities. Lastly, guests visiting Signature HealthCARE of Elizabethtown enter into staff-only spaces and can be ushered into resident spaces as needed. The intersection of public and private spaces was studied to provide staff the best opportunity to keep residents and families safe and secure.
